My Ph.D. research focuses on developing daily, high-resolution (100 m) multilayer soil moisture maps across the Continental U.S. by integrating satellite data, soil surveys, and in situ observations. I utilize a ConvLSTM-based deep learning framework to model complex, non-linear relationships between environmental covariates and soil moisture across the 0–100 cm profile. This approach enhances the accuracy of soil moisture nowcasting and forecasting, benefiting applications in precision agriculture, hydrology, and climate resilience.

During my Master’s in Civil Engineering, I developed a machine learning framework using Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 data for real-time soil moisture estimation.
