Preventative Maintenance Manager

Implemented Preventative Maintenance program within my department, scheduling, delegating, training, organizing, controlling and evaluating manpower and material resources used to support maintenance to over 2,500 pieces of equipment, saving the Navy and tax payers over $30,000,000 in preventative measures, earning the Navy and Marine Core Achievement medal.

Trained, qualified, and supervised 30 personnel on how to identify and report discrepancies within the program.

Mentor Sailors and which resulted in 15 promotions, 1 Sailor of the Year, 3 Blue Jacket of the Year, 5 Sailors of the quarter, 7 Blue Jackets of the quarter, 10 Sailors of the week, and 17 Sailors qualifying for Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist.

USS RUSHMORE LSD47 MAY 2013 – SEPTEMBER 2016

Leading Supervisor

Trained and supervised 78 Sailors and Marines.

As a safety supervisor, orchestrated the movement of approximately 72,000 tons of equipment and 2,400 personnel over a 7month period with 0 OSHA reported incidents.

Managed a budget of over $5,000,000 and effectively improved the ships mission readiness, additionally managed the organization and inventory of more than 6,000 items.

As a Damage Control Training Team Member (DCTT) help train more than 200 personnel over the course of 1 year in 50 main space, Flight deck, and Damage Control drills which was invaluable ensuring the Damage Control organization was quick to respond during actual casualties.

As DOD Customs Clearing Agent was responsible for the inspection of all 300 spaces to eliminate Narcotics, Drugs, and other Contraband into the United States.

Administrative Supervisor/ Oil Spill Response Supervisor

Led 25 Personnel through Port Operations 1st ever Board of Inspection and Survey (INSUV) (a program established by Congress that goes through an extensive system check on equipment) and Commander Navy Installations Command Inspection resulting in zero discrepancies.

Responsible for the fabrication of new oil boom systems and qualified 15 Sailors in various positions throughout the department.

Responsible for overseeing 26 Personnel’s careers, tracking their retention, leave, duty, appointments, and schools.

Implemented Naval Base Point Loma’s first Facility Response Team program, training 21 personnel as FRT members and successfully passing 5 quarterly inspections.
