Work Experience

As a Public Health Intern for the University of Arkansas I interned at Circles NWA with two main contributions: Community Engagement & Program Support. Conducting research, data collection, & analysis, and assisting in program planning & implementation. I implemented and helped oversee numerous ways to minimize poverty locally in Northwest Arkansas. My daily responsibilities consisted of: Supporting program implementation focused on PCE’s & community well-being, Assisting with research and data analysis to evaluate program outcomes, Collaborating with staff to develop educational materials and resources for participants, engaging with community members to foster relationships and promote Circles NWA initiatives, and lastly participating in team meetings to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. As a Behavior Health Associate at Piney Ridge Treatment Center, my daily duties were to ensure the well being of residents and to provide a both supportive, & structured environment. I was responsible for conducting safety checks, documentation of residents’ activity timely & accurate, observe behaviors, engage and encourage residents to participate in activities, and lastly, provide transportation for residents. As a DSB Counselor/Tutor my daily responsibilities consisted of creating homework assignments and teaching certain subjects to blind and visually-impaired clients. I assisted them with all lessons as needed, drafted up documents, filed, faxed, and scanned them. My services and educational help was available 24/7 to their needs with any assignments, projects, and any additional requests.
