• McCarty Landfill is an MSW landfill that accepts asbestos. We also have a solidification pit. This landfill averages 7.000 tons and we service close to 1000 trucks a day. We are currently open from 2 am to 7 pm. We currently have 35 Operators. Eight Maintenance employees with two openings. Five Laborers. Three spotters. I supervise all these employees daily. I also assist the scales with any issues when their supervisor is off site.

• I review the employee's timecards and I approve their timecards in Kronos. I reconcile any exceptions that the employees might have. I send a Time Detail to my manager and payroll weekly. I review the VCR's and look for mistakes.

• I create the daily plan sheet and update it when necessary. I make sure that the crew has the daily plan. I also review special project sites that we have.

• I have conducted our Operator Training with all Operators. I conduct our safety meetings and note safety issues with employees. I develop corrective actions and go over it with the employee, involved.

• I conduct the site perimeter inspection. I complete an odor control inspection. I audit the working face operations. I also go to a Temporarily Closed landfill that is about six miles from us and do a site inspection.

• I complete the woodchip log. I complete the Compactor utilization log and our soil log. I make sure that we conduct our daily random load inspections. I transfer the weather data from our station. I also complete the paperwork in our site book.

• I walk our slopes looking for erosion and leachate seeps. I place grade markers for our working face. I assist/audit contractors that are on the site to complete projects. I also handle any unplanned events/issues such as accident investigation and write up the incident to send to the proper people.

• I have received a Texas MSW A provisional license from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. • Communicate and coordinate with CINTAS, GCR Tire, Labor Ready, and other vendors to schedule work, obtain PO’s and get approval before work is performed, and follow up as necessary to resolve any problems/issues.

• Assess weather and landfill daily to ensure roads and entrance are free of litter/debris. Direct laborer to pick up litter and complete weed eating of sump panels, office, scale house, leachate tank area, fences, flare yard, etc.

• Utilize KRONOS to support workforce management needs, check/approve employee times daily and Paid Time Off days, and fill out and post monthly employee work schedules on the breakroom bulletin board.
