Applications Analyst – Mainframe Modernization
Analyzed Ginnie Mae Mainframe processes as a part of the IBM Mainframe Modernization team in order to assist with their remaining migration decisions. UWP CRIS Project:
Designed, coded, and implemented CRIS to ODS (Operation Data Store) data synchronization processes for web enabled accounts by using CRIS KED XML and MQ processes for the UWP (Universal Web Portal), a new front-end application. Design involved the introduction of new CRIS (OOPS) classes and related methods, the creation of new and replacement of old CRIS batch and online processes. Coordinated work with MuleSoft and .Net development teams. Project moved into production with high levels of client satisfaction.
Low-Income Project (NY):
As one of the Technical Leads, designed, coded, and implemented a new structure for the calculation and presentation of low-income discount bills. Developed the logic for rate changes at enrollment and unenrollment time, to and from the low-income program. Created new and modified existing CRIS online conversations to support the requirements for this project. Developed the ability to transfer low-income customer information from one account to another, while keeping low-income customers’ information in case the account became final.

Customer Billing Enhancements – Paperless:
Led a small team tasked with the design, development, and implementation of new paperless billing features for PSEGLI – a regional electric utility company. Designed processes allowing an exchange of customer information between PSEGLI’s EBO (EBO - ENHANCED BILLING OPTION) system and the new vendor – KUBRA. KUBRA allows PSEGLI to send customers paperless bill images, provided by the EBO system, via email and presents them with new features such as online payments (z/OS, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2).

Customer Choice ESCO Gas Management:
Led a team of software engineers implementing new requirements to provide customer related information from CRIS to the Gas Management system (service provider for Marketers). Analyzed business requirements and optimal way of modifying the existing CRIS processes. Coded processes for calculating billing, credit and collection fees and implemented solutions for transmitting marketer payment data through the Electronic Data Interchange (“EDI”).
NH Divestiture:
Played one of the key roles in the New Hampshire Divestiture project. Executed processes to successfully separate and transition NH Gas Accounts out of National Grid and into Liberty Utilities systems.

Massachusetts Rate Case Project:
Served as Technical Lead on the project involving modifying the system to respond to a new regulatory rate and new requirements for bill presentation and discounts for low-income customers. Delivered the project under extremely tight deadlines imposed by the state regulator. Re-engineered processes to maximize reusable components and ensured effective communication between team members.
PMP-CRIS Project
Modified CRIS code and Online Conversations to implement credit scoring system for National Grid’s customers. Harmonized National Grid’s legacy system with the external vendor’s (Experian) Portfolio Management Package (PMP). The new PMP system was adopted as a company-wide credit scoring solution for National Grid’s customers.
POR Project
Participated in determining business requirements for the Purchase of Marketer Receivables (POR) project and contributed to fundamental logical and technical elements of project design. Wrote an integral part of this sub-system that was used as a building block for further development. Identified creative solutions to balance between maintaining the integrity of an existing complex process, while adding new features and validations to it.
