PhD Research: “Molecular Characterization and Genotyping of Animal and Human Rotaviruses Isolates from Northern India”. In my research program I have worked on molecular epidemiology of circulating rotavirus A strains from neonates of different species including children and understanding the transmission dynamics. The work is significant breakthrough in public health perspective and prospect of developing of a rotavirus vaccine candidate. M.Sc. Research: at Animal Biotechnology Centre, ICAR- National Dairy Research Institute Karnal Haryana, India. “Cloning of alpha inhibin gene in a suitable cloning vector”. This was my first exposure to modern biotechnology and molecular biology techniques which inspired me to pursue a research career in biotechnology.

PhD (Biotechnology) Jiwaji University, Gwalior 2012-2016 MSc (Biotechnology) Jiwaji University, Gwalior 2001-2003 BSc (Life Sciences) Bundelkhand University, Jhansi 1998-2001 India. I worked in BSL3+ suite, handling suspected clinical samples, processing them for nucleic acid extraction for confirmatory diagnosis by molecular methods. I also screened the samples by Hemagglutination test, Hemagglutination inhibition test. I passed the positive samples in embryonated eggs and maintained the repository.

Senior Research Fellow at Division of Virology, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Mukteswar, India- I was working in a NAIP (World Bank funded) project on identification and characterization of Toll like receptors (TLRs) in yak, mithun and hill cattle. We were the first research group to identify and characterize the TLRs from these unique species. We also worked on TLR transcript regulation in viral, bacterial and parasitic disease models in an in-vitro culture system.
