Professional Description

I ensure information and records are maintained consistently across a global enterprise and multiple business units in compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. I report to the Chief of Compliance and manage an Executive Management Team of the Human Resources, EVP, IT, EVP, and Regulatory and Quality Assurance EVP. I am responsible for all recorded information regardless of platform and assist in strategic planning that reflects the organization's vision, direction, standards, and mission, including program definition, training, and coordination with managers of corporate groups. I deeply understand Records Management's policies, schedule, Data Protection guidelines, Privacy Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures. I also sat on the Association of Record Management Administrators (ARMA) Northern California Board of Directors for over ten years.

Key Responsibilities

Drive New Initiatives

Implement and maintain strategic initiatives to enhance the Records and Information Management Program. Develop and execute a plan to expand the Program globally with regional acceptance. Establish disposition efforts for paper and manage other program enhancement projects—also, support efforts involving new team member service offerings.

Develop and issue records and information management (RIM) policies for review and approval. Establish and implement standards for global records and recordkeeping practices per policy and local regulations. Issue and implement records management procedures and guidelines. Educate and train employees on records management policies and procedures: new hires, ongoing training/certification. Develop metrics to monitor compliance of business units to the RIM Program policy. Program Planning and Coordination

Partner with Information Technology (IT) to drive electronic records best practice and compliance, including understanding RIM controls available in newly acquired software. Coordinate with Information Security and Legal Privacy & Compliance to ensure the Program aligns with their policies and procedures, including GDPR and the California Privacy ACT. Work with internal Marketing/Communications to communicate about the Records Management Program. Stay current with emerging RIM trends/topics and propose any necessary updates to the Program as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for evangelizing and leading the tactical implementation of Information Governance/Records Management program within function/department

• Facilitates global annual clean-up events, both physical and electronic

• Serves as a resource for information governance/records management specific information to employees

• Aid in identifying information/custodians/repositories potentially relevant to audits, investigations, and litigation

• Supports employees in the preparation of inactive records for offsite storage or archival storage

• Facilitates data collection and reporting of annual information management audit

• Partners with IT in the implementation of global electronic record initiatives
