YOUTH-FRIENDLY SERVICE PROGRAMME MWENGE DISPENSARY 2011 – 2014.
As part of my early engagement in social work, I joined the Youth-Friendly Service (YFS) Programme at Mwenge Dispensary, where I undertook an intensive three-year training to become a peer educator. This experience equipped me with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in addressing youth and adolescent-related challenges, particularly in areas such as reproductive health, HIV/AIDS awareness, and behavioral change. I actively participated in seminars, workshops, and outreach programs, gaining hands-on experience in counseling, case management, and youth advocacy. After completing my training, I dedicated two additional years to mentoring and supporting young people, helping them navigate adolescence and make informed life choices.
NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING MARAMBA JKT 2016.
Selected by the Tanzanian government for the National Service Training Program, I underwent a rigorous three-month military and civic training at Maramba JKT, a transformative experience that significantly enriched my professional and personal development. The program instilled in me core values such as discipline, integrity, patriotism, and resilience, while also fostering a deep sense of unity and social responsibility. Beyond the physical and tactical training, I gained hands-on skills in agriculture, security, masonry, carpentry, and community service initiatives. HIV/AIDS CARE AND TREATMENT PROVISION MWENGE CTC DISPENSARY 2016 – 2019
Building on my passion for social work and youth empowerment, I returned to Mwenge CTC Dispensary as a social work student, undertaking a two-year field practicum under the supervision of the Institute of Social Work. This hands-on experience significantly advanced my professional capabilities, allowing me to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world practice.
At the dispensary, I worked closely with HIV/AIDS clients, providing psychosocial support, therapy, and adherence counseling to ensure sustained treatment compliance. I actively promoted awareness campaigns, peer education sessions, and mental health support for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Additionally, I was responsible for data collection, entry, and analysis, ensuring accurate record-keeping and contributing to evidence-based interventions.
This role refined my skills in counseling, case management, community outreach, and public health advocacy, solidifying my commitment to advancing healthcare accessibility, social justice, and community well-being. SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II MWANANYAMALA REGIONAL REFERRAL HOSPITAL UNDER BENJAMIN MKAPA FOUNDATION 2019 – 2021
Serving as a Social Welfare Officer II at Mwananyamala Regional Referral Hospital under the Benjamin Mkapa Foundation was an enriching and impactful experience that allowed me to play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive social services to vulnerable populations. My role involved multifaceted responsibilities, ranging from patient advocacy and psychosocial support to public health interventions and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
INPATIENT DEPARTMENT SUPPORT
Conducted ward rounds to assess and identify patients in need of social services, ensuring that those facing socio-economic hardships received food, shelter, and clothing assistance based on their specific circumstances.
Provided psychosocial counseling and crisis intervention to patients experiencing emotional distress due to medical conditions or personal hardships.

In collaboration with WWF-TRAFFIC Tanzania, I participated as a Project Enumerator, contributing to a national assessment on the effectiveness of the Electronic Timber Tracking System implemented at various Tanzania Forestry Agency (TFS) checkpoints.

Conducted field-based data collection across multiple forestry checkpoints to assess the functionality and performance of the electronic tracking system.
