Searle Pharmaceuticals 1983 - 2008 – R&D Analytical Process Improvement and Method Development analytical Chemist.
Manufacturing Process Assurance, Analytical Chemist and implementation of GMPs. Responsible for in process quality validation of new Chemical process and Pharmaceutical new drug quality validations. Food and Beverage EHS Professional with PepsiCo- Tropicana Orange Juice manufacturing. Teamster Union Labor workforce and Ammonia PSM Facility. PSM Certified Manager. Obtained IC100,200 and 300 certifications to support PSM ERT Team. Manage workers Compensation and insure Employees received all that they needed if involved in an incident. embedded Teamsters Union employees. Embedded and respected Manager with both Union and Company environments.
2008 – 2013 Pepsi-Co Continued: Root Cause & Reality Charting to ensure all corrective actions and conditions are identified and corrective action implemented. PSM compliance with ERT Team responders. Worked through any Union issues with no grievances being filed. MOC team lead with FAT and project PSSR prior to startup. Ensure Food Safety GMP and HACCP Standards are followed. Maintain VPP Star status creating hourly EHS teams with Teamster Union engagement. Responsible for implementing Best In Class Safety Results and delivering successful employee engagement. Reduce injuries, built the Management Commitment and 1st Build PSM Responder response training.
2013 – 2016 Gatorade and Coca-Cola bottling dual site
EHS responsibilities in EHS Located in Wytheville VA. Both sites were PSM facilities. EHS Manager in Wytheville VA . ESH Oversite for larges Gatorade site in the US that included a 100 bay DC with rail- spur deliverables of raw materials. Also anaerobic and aerobic waste water treatment facility. The site had 9 production lines with CIP/SIP cleaning. Initiated a machine guarding upgrade project and an underground piping inspection program. Led the site through employee driven teams and delivered Zero OSHA recordable injuries. Each team managed their KPI data and results. This was a TPM facility with KPI board reporting weekly to keep focused on site annual goals. Multi-site responsibility for PepsiCo bottling facility 8 miles away. Delivered the world class results with no recordable injuries at the Gatorade facility. Training and team engagement safety culture. PSM safety management. Small quantity waste generator. Led the 5S, Green certification for the facility. Worked with the City Engineering for a recycled application of our waste stream. Built employee driven teams. 2016- 2018 Coca-Cola – VPP Star Site - EHS Manger Simply Orange Juice Auburndale FL –Food Safety, GMP and HACCP Standards integrated with Simply ZERO EHS culture. Created Safety teams, Risk Assessments and a ONE TEAM ONE Goal safety expectation. Individual ownership and “See Something – Do Something “personal accountability. Developed a One Team One - Goal Culture with Leadership Accountability and Performance Expectation in PDRs. Alignment with Corporate for safety KPI. Risk assessment and ESH budget management. Austin industrial EHS Manager - provides In-House Contracted Specialty craft and personnel for companies. I oversaw a diverse portfolio of construction and manufacturing facilities including four Kimberly Clark facilities in four different states, 3 different chemical companies in 3 different states and four chemical companies within my home state of Georgia and to Paper Mill Facilities. I provided training, auditing, risk assessments, incident reporting and investigation and customer KPI deliverables. Managed Workers Compensation Claims and Responded to any site EHS support needs. My facilities had no OSHA recordable Injuries. My assignment ended due to Austin closing heir Southeast Region territory.
