Her experience as an administrative professional began 50 years ago
(1974) when she was hired at 19 as the Executive Administrative Assistant for the Deputy Director of the Economic Opportunity Commission of Nassau County. Throughout her years there, she was a research assistant (learning the grant development and compliance process), director of planning and research responsible for grant writing, management, and compliance. Her skills were also honed at the Institute for Community Development where she conducted donor research and assisted with grant development. Wanda was also responsible for developing resources for Hempstead Rebirth, a now inactive community development organization.
Her administrative and management experience also includes being an active member of the Ministry of Helps of her church.
During a pretty difficult time in her life, she developed a desire to do business even though she had no previous experience. This grew into a passion to help people discover and fulfill their God-given purpose in the marketplace encouraging them to conduct their businesses with integrity and honor.
So, now she brings all 50 years of experience to the table in Wanda B. Jones Office Support, coming alongside non-profit organizations and small businesses to help them reach their goals of changing lives and improving communities. Her core competency is helping small businesses and non-profits secure the funding they need through grants and connecting them to resources. However, she also helps inspiring entrepreneurs/business owners and socialpreneurs register their businesses and non-profits, acts as liaison between clients and vendors, government agencies, etc., and helps contractors with their bid submissions and compliance requirements, provides bid opportunity research, and represents them at pre-bid meetings and bid openings.
