• President/ Vice President for 7 years.

•Oversee over the financial and commercial part of the Fire Company.

•Negotiated Multiple Contracts with the Town of Wales. Last contract was the largest percentage increase in the History of Firehall.

•Overseen and negotiated the purchase of land for WCVFC.

•Overseen Purchase of Multiple new Equipment; including new ambulance, new front-line pumper.

•Set up new financial protocols, with the help of Treasurer. To modernize Financial Record Keeping, Installed a level of Checks and Balances. These new protocols were set up to adapt to new state and federal requirements.

• I was recently involved in a state risk assessment, which was commended by the state on our protocols that were recently installed. We did very well in our risk assessment and will not be asked to do a full-blown audit.

•Overseen the setup of annual budgets. Then keep spending within the budget.

•I ensure that members and the company follow WCVFC's Bylaws, which governs our operations. I am also part of adjusting these bylaws to fit the ever-changing environment of our volunteer organization.

•I managed our retirement program (LOSAP). This program aims to attract new volunteers and keep our valued senior members.

• Run board meetings and membership meetings.

•The most important Skill in managing a Volunteer Organization is to get people from a diverse background to work together and in the same direction. I have always pushed for the older, more experienced members to teach and develop the new members. They are the life blood and the next generation of the Company.
