Provide CDC SFO Quarantine Station public health advisement expertise in conducting entry screening procedures that mitigate public health risk from travelers coming from affected countries. The public health support includes assessing travelers’ disease exposure risk by using CDC-developed guidance for establishing and identifying risk currently published on CDC Website (www.cdc.gov) and providing guidance information related to the prevention of infectious diseases.
Daily Coordination with CDC SFO Quarantine Station professional team of medical officers, public health officers, state, and local public health agencies.
Responsible for generating electronic and written records related to the public health risk assessment performed during the tertiary entry screening process. Follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines with all medical records and international traveler information kept confidential.
