I have been part of the DBA Team close to three years. It is a complex environment of SQL Instances, Single Physical Server hosting 14 SQL Instances of different versions and all listening on 1433 Port. The fourteen instances are evenly distributed between two Physical nodes (HA between the two nodes) and DR with an Offsite. I work on several tasks like SQL Health check, Backup / Restore, Vulnerability Scans and Remediation. I have been a Team Player and support on any application tasks like implementation, Migration and Upgrade for applications like SharePoint, MS CRM, ZL, Team Mate.
Environment: Complex SQL Cluster environment with four Physical Nodes, with 14 SQL Instances (NIPR), Two Node Four Instances (SIPR), Both with AlwaysON HA

Also the environment had three training servers which had access to developers also. The environment maintained a large database of about five TB. The production and COOP servers were configured with Transactional replication. I work on several tasks like Daily SQL Health check, Backup / Restore and upgrade.

US COAST GUARD is a large working scope environment. There it had 121 Instances, multiple applications and several hundreds of databases of different sizes. A co-operative team of 8 DBAs worked together. Although Each DBA was responsible for particular applications, Once, a week, each DBA had to support all instances for afterhours operation. The environment had Log shipping, Mirroring, Replication and Clustering (HA).
Environment: It was only NIPRNet environment with multi-level HA.
