● For the sanitation companies: Star Carting, Hillside Ash and SCC, I managed the dispatching of waste collection vehicles and personnel. Fleet of trucks included: 7 roll-offs, 6 front end trucks, 12 rear load trucks, and 8 tractors with 100 yd walking floor trailers. Territory handled was Long Island, New York City, Staten Island and the Five Boroughs. The walking floor trailers hauled garbage from Star cartings transfer station to Ohio. I would set up and negotiate trucking rates for back hauls from Mid-West back to the East Coast.

● Red Environmental Disposal handled the pickup and disposal of regulated medical waste. We serviced doctors, Labs, and Hospitals. We were the 1st company to set up autoclave machines at 21 Hospitals on LI. The medical waste was autoclaved then the waste went into compactors and was incinerated. We expanded our permits and hauling to include contaminated dirt soil and sand as well as friable and non-friable asbestos.

● Managed our DOT compliance units for all sister companies having a centralized approach always resulted in consistency and compliance across all the businesses. Maintained accurate and current DQF’s and scheduled regular reviews, always checking expiration dates on drivers licenses and physicals. Updated documents when needed. Implemented and managed a DOT compliant drug and alcohol testing program, to include pre-employment, random, post accident and reasonable suspicion testing. All drivers were enrolled into the drug testing consortium. All maintenance performed on each piece of equipment was documented and tracked to include pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
