SUMMARY
I'm seeking my next position as a remote full-time html email developer. I have been working for the last years as a Marketing Communications Advisor for the #15 Fortune 500 US company. I created the responsive email templates being used throughout its group of companies from scratch in 2019, and have been in charge of updating them since. They are ADA-compliant and coded to support all email clients, including Outlook. Every email we code is tested in Litmus for over 50 mainstream email clients. In my advisory position I also often check Legal, Compliance and proofreading aspects of emails and get consulted on designs that could potentially create issues when translated into code. In my previous positions I would also create landing pages for marketing campaigns.
EXPERIENCE
Cigna/Evernorth
Marketing Communications Advisor, from 04/2020 to the present
Extensive responsive email development work and advise for internal and external marketing campaigns, with HTML, CSS, Adobe Software, Sketch, Figma, Litmus and other tools, in an agency-like environment and following guidelines and best practices while collaborating with designers, project managers, producers, Legal, Compliance and other marketing professionals. Lead role in email coding and creation of coding templates. Experience with Marketo, Zeta, Cheetah/Marigold, Eloqua, Salesforce and others. We collaborate in projects through Wrike. Go-to person when email coding is concerned. The email coding process involves kick-off meetings, discussions on several aspects and potential issues, then receiving Sketch or Figma design files and building their exact match in code, hosting images and other necessary files in a WordPress CMS and testing them in over 50 email clients using Litmus.
Among my achievements are:
oCreating the responsive email coding templates that were adopted company-wide, improving campaign efficiency and consistency in messaging;
oDeveloping, along with a team of experts, the new design for the different companies inside the Cigna Group according with requirements for coding, including safe font families, font sizes, colors, color contrast, Dark Mode results, responsive design and email clients support;
oIntroducing code to make emails ADA-compliant, a legal requirement, enhancing email coding processes while ensuring ADA compliance and improving accessibility, which strengthened client trust and adherence to legal standards;
oPerforming updates to coding templates whenever a workaround or new requirement was needed, due to email clients changes;
oCreating solutions whenever needed, sometimes in emergency situations;
oMaintaining up-to-date coding guidelines and documentation, ensuring team alignment and fostering consistent quality in email campaigns;
oParticipating on cross-functional meetings to discuss coding challenges, leading to effective solutions and smoother project execution across teams;
oAnswering questions and providing instructions to my team and members from other groups, as PowerPoint presentations or Word documents;
oFiguring out ways to support the continuous use of msg and oft files, and workarounds for ever-changing Outlook for Windows email clients’ requirements.
Cigna, through Aquent
Digital Designer, from 05/2014 to 04/2020
Extensive responsive web development of emails and landing pages for internal and external campaigns, with HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, using Adobe suite, Sublime Text, Litmus and other tools, in an agency-like environment and following guidelines and best practices while collaborating with legal and marketing.
Among my achievements were:
oFixing the ongoing email coding crisis in the department by creating templates that really worked; creation of instructions on coding for the whole department and offshore team to resolve the lack of consistency and delays;
oAdoption of an effective way of testing code and sending project managers a link with the test results, which was a missing step in the QA process;
oDetection of errors in processes, preventing unnecessary expenses; reporting of issues in software used in the department, alerting users and creating tickets with tech support, and creating solutions when applicable;
oCreation of responsive email coding templates from scratch, which allowed the company to continue using email marketing--the then third-party templates stopped being supported and stopped working on some email clients, with no viable replacement, so a life-saving solution that keeps working since.
