EXPERIENCE (REFERENCES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST)

2008 – Present – Babysitter

• I can babysit all ages of kids for any period of time. I show the parents that I am very trustworthy, dependable, and reliable. When I know that I am going to be babysitting for a while, I will bring activities that would best benefit the child at their age level. I also have experience babysitting two autistic boys from the time that they got off the bus until their mother got home from work. My job was to help them with their homework and follow their normal schedule to the best of my ability so that it was a smooth transition for when their mother got home.

2008- Present – Pet Sitting

• Our neighborhood is a very close “family like” neighborhood. Neighbors would hire me to take care of their pets (dogs, hamsters, birds) when they go on vacations. They give me the key to their house and it is my responsibility to make sure the animals are fed and left out (if needed) and safely back in the house before I leave.

2016 – 2017 - Busser – Villari’s Lakeside Restaurant

• As a busser, my duties were to make sure all the tables were cleaned and set properly. When a party was sat down, I was to come and fill the glasses with water and bring them out bread. I would regularly go over to clear any empty plates that were in the way to give them more room on the table. When the party left, I would go over to the table, finish clearing it, clean it, and reset it properly.

• I also would sometimes be a food runner where I would just run different food orders to tables if their server was busy. 2017 - 2019 – Teacher Assistant – Children of America (Sicklerville)

• As a Teacher Assistant, I would greet the children when they come in. Depending on what age group I was working with that day, I would make sure they had a fresh diaper and then sit them down for breakfast. I would go about the day following the schedule, making sure that their diapers were changed on time (if necessary according to age group) and their meals were being served on time.

2019 – 2022 – One to One Aide – Erial Elementary

• As a One-to-One Aide, I am assigned to a student. I follow his daily schedule following him from one class to another making sure that he does the work that he was assigned and helping him if needed. I also encourage him to use good behavior and communicate when he is having a hard time with something whether it be focusing, remaining calm, not getting upset, or doesn’t understand the assignment that he is doing. I also assist the teacher in any way that is needed. 2022 – Present – Paraprofessional – C.W. Lewis Middle School

• As a Paraprofessional, I am responsible for ensuring all copies, packets, and laminations are completed as requested by the teacher. I am responsible for helping the teacher keep the classroom organized as well as assuring that the students are current in all of their daily activities and studies. When students are working on assignments, I am responsible for encouraging them to attempt it on their own but supply support if they do not understand the material. I assist the teacher in having the activities for the day set up. I am responsible for taking students to their specials. When the teacher needs to step out of the room while the students are completing their work, I am trusted by the teacher to oversee the students. I am also responsible for making sure that students remain as quiet and as calm as possible during safety drills throughout the school year. Finally, I am responsible for creating respectful relationships with students while also helping them learn how to be respectful and kind to others and themselves. 2023 – Present – Classroom Assistant – YALE School As a Classroom Assistant, I am responsible for working one to one with one to two students on a rotating schedule working with them on learning simple educational tasks as well as how to complete every day tasks (example: brushing teeth or brushing their hair). At the end of each day I log in data (tasks that were mastered, opening new tasks, and logging behavior) for the student that I am assigned to keep track of information for. I also ensure that all of their materials are up to date to make it easier to work with the student. Making sure that the classroom is organized and materials that are needed for group are set up is another responsibility of mine. When working with a student, we use a no fail system where we give the student a task and immediately correct them if we see that they are about to get task wrong (an example would be we lay 3 index cards out with the colors red, blue, and yellow on them and tell the student to touch the color blue, if we see them go to touch red or yellow we would immediately point to blue and say “this is blue” and have them try again while giving them positive reinforcement. Finally, I am responsible for making sure that students remain as quiet and as calm as possible during safety drills throughout the school year.
