The companies, SUNco and BEAM Solar, are Solar and home improvement roofing and HVAC sales and installation companies that we combined last year. They moved their headquarters from New York and North Carolina to Utah. I came on as their CFO and have established processes and activities that will support financial management and improve decision-making going forward. We have now upgraded the financial management and bookkeeping processes to accrual accounting and have completed our first financial review. The company is currently at $145M a year in sales.

The company, a Solar sales company, moved their headquarters from Florida to Utah and I jumped on to build the accounting team. We established and documented processes and worked to continually improve efficiencies and enable continual improvement.

CFO

The company controller walked out and I came on board to build the accounting team and to hire a controller going forward. After I was there for a couple weeks they asked me to come on board as their CFO. I upgraded their accounting team, built a reliable forecast model and implemented a monthly closing process to present timely information on financial and over-all operations and to minimize surprises. I worked to bring on board and integrate their new southern Utah distribution company that they purchased and recently worked through the purchase of rights to northern Utah. Carlson Distributing is now the #1 beverage distributor in Utah.
