Taught Financial Algebra to Juniors and Seniors to help them earn credits for graduation. In (2023-2024) I also volunteered to teach a section of ELD 2 to help keep the class size a little more manageable.

I was hired as a high school math teacher. I taught mostly geometry and algebra 2.
Baker Middle School (January 1998- 1999)
Bilingual middle school math teacher. Taught fifth grade up to eighth grade math in either English or Spanish depending on the designation of the class. The classes were not given grade level work, and I worked very hard to introduce them to grade level work without triggering their anxiety.
My students felt I spoke Cuban, so I went to study in Durango, Durango, Mexico to improve my accent to sound more like my students.
