I have also done a website design for a startup machine learning company, a website design and PowerPoint presentation for a Texas based Engineering firm and motion graphics for a local Media Group revising a PowerPoint presentation into an After Effects version.
UX/UI Designer - United Healthcare Group – August 2021 – May 2023
Full-time 6 to 12 month contract extended twice to 2 years. I created User Interface Designs based on Business Requirements in an agile environment using Figma as our main design tool. I designed mock-ups, wire-frames and prototypes from complex business requirements supporting Optum’s ICM Modernization project. I participated in daily remote scrum meetings with Developers, Analysts, and Stakeholders as part of their Agile Design Process reviewing Discovery, Research, Miro white-boarding, Lo-Fidelity wire-frames and pixel perfect High-Fidelity
Figma wire-frames. I was a creative contributor designing PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, and online creative briefs to present our design philosophy to stakeholders.
John Deere Corporation / Training Design & Marketing Specialist – January 2018 – September 2019
I worked a 6-12 mo. contract as a Training Design Marketing Specialist to design, manage and edit content for interactive training modules (Value Selling Guides) used by Dealers of John Deere's high-end agricultural, turf, and construction equipment. The Value Selling Guides were digital platform training modules designed to help train dealers in high level marketing initiatives using value statements and comparisons against the competition.
Farm Journal Media Group / Multimedia Graphics Designer – July 2016 – September 2018
I was the Content Services Graphics Designer working on print design, web design, social media posts, user Interface design, GIF animations and video editing. I managed many near impossible deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment. I designed many diverse highly creative projects including mood boards, email ads, banner ads, inserts, media kits, Videos, and trade show collateral.
Cerner Incorporated / SR UX/UI Designer – February 2010 – July 2016
As part of the User Experience Design Team, I worked in collaboration with Solution Designers, Developers, and Analysts to design GUI’s based on a set of user centered design requirements and user stories. From these stakeholder initiatives, we sketched mock-ups, then wire-frames, then low and high fidelity click through prototypes for stakeholder presentations. My solutions were mainly web based HTML 3 – 5 using CSS. One of my many accomplishments was creating call outs, visual design components and specifications for the development of a design system/style guide. I worked on a variety of other projects producing high quality graphic design print projects, PowerPoint presentations, and, a creative user interface for a bedside Smart TV known as MyStation which allowed patients to watch TV, movies, play games, surf the internet, or read books on-screen from their bed. I created a children’s version that at the time was sold to a prestigious medical facilities organization.
Electronic Transaction Consultant Corp – Multimedia Graphics Designer – June 2007 – January 2010
The objective was to support the proposal documentation group and the technical documentation group through the use of technical illustrations, diagrams, photography, and web interface designs. As one of a 7-member documentation department, we continually produced award winning technical documentation illustrating the Open Road, Electronic Toll Collection process to local stakeholders and potential clients. We achieved greater image recognition in the design of proposal materials including cover designs, system design diagrams, site renderings and animations using 3D applications.
M-Link Technologies – Multimedia Graphics designer – February 2004 – February 2007
Creative team leader in the design and production of multimedia graphics used in the development of instructional media including e-learning, video instructional media, printed materials, and interactive marketing collateral for large corporations such as Nokia, Lennox, Overhead Door and FedEx. I achieved distinction in the wide use of 3D animations designing short video sequences for post-production by our development team. Also was a vital contributor in the creative design and production of four-color printed materials using Creative Suite and other Graphics Programs.
