Senior Design Engineer/Lead/Supervisor I was the lead person responsible for the Pre-design NASSCO and Sub-contractor Design Team for the T-ake Contract. Utilizing Tribon M1, reference in accordance with customer specifications and requirements. I identified and initiated resolutions to problems that would impact NASSCO’s ability to perform to schedule prior to and during detail design. Established and maintained documentation and procedures to coordinate the interface responsibilities between the design groups within NASSCO and their outside Design sub-contractors. Represented Design Engineering at Production Workshops to capture their concerns and incorporate them into the design where feasible. Analyzed, recommended improvements/corrections to NASSCO standards, Material Schedules and Vendor Furnished Equipment (VFE) drawings to assist in the design development phase. This resulted in developing enhanced system diagrams that minimized the impacts to production by noting correct materials, and VFE interface connections. Supervisor for Phase I&II composite group, planning and scheduling of composite drawings for use by others while continuing to support the Design groups by identifying design deficiencies and ensuring that the correct production strategies were incorporated into the models prior to release to planning.
