Reporting to Senior Procurement Manager

Responsibilities-

Compiling requisitions of goods and services from the individual departments within the bank ranging from purchase of furniture, laptops, motor vehicles, stationery and different services as they arise.

Sourcing quotations for the different goods and services required from the vendors on the bank’s accredited list, including investigation and identification of new supply sources and ensuring that they supply documentation required for new vendors to be accredited

Preparing comparative schedules for the quotations of different goods and services received and recommend vendors to engage

Raising orders for the most economical advantageous tender ensuring that the operational expenditures and capital expenditures are apportioned appropriately

Expediting orders as per agreed terms and ensuring that vendors deliver with the agreed timelines

Investigating and identifying supply chain risk that may impact the bank as a whole

Fleet management for 59 managers vehicles financed by the bank and 30 pool vehicles ensuring vehicles are serviced at appropriate intervals, fueled, always kept clean and ensure that vehicles have all regulatory permits

Contract management of 4 outsourced transport service providers that ferry over 200 staff members to and from work daily

Facility management of Nedbank Zimbabwe Limited properties including owned and rental spaces, to ensure upkeep of health & safety standards

Pension Fund property administration including vetting and admitting tenants, giving them notice to vacate, maintenance of the properties and running ledger accounts for rentals for properties

Supervision of driver, reception staff and care takers at the different sites owned by the Bank.

Make local and travel arrangements for staff

Achievements –

I managed to be a part of the team that saw the Bank experiencing huge saving by minimizing rental office space for Nedbank’s Head Office and ensuring that people still had adequate working space by refurbishing one of Nedbank’s residential property into an office space.
