SUMMARY
I am an advocate and certified Peer Specialist with +10 years of experience in this field. I can manage multiple projects while meeting challenging deadlines. I can adapt to any situation and possess a strong work ethic. I also work well under pressure. I have worked as a Director of the Decatur Peer Support Wellness and Respite Center, which allowed for delegating duties. I believe in trauma-informed care and that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. I am also aware that people with mental health concerns have a higher probability of recovery when appropriate community and family support is in place. Mental Illness is not a personal failure, although, sometimes, it might feel like it to the person living with a diagnosis.
