AC and DC motor drive System troubleshooting-in this skill, you have motor, which comes with starter and other components that makes motor to rotate. When motor fails I trouble shoot the whole system to determine what is wrong and fix it.

Expert in programmable controllers (PLC) - I can wire the PLC program, translate the program and repair minor glitches that causes the program not to work properly.

Blueprint interpretation- I can translate electrical blue print and rewrite if there is miss wiring problem with blue print.

Project control- Due to my MBA background, which is in project management, I was placed in a team of expertise whose task was to undertake a project from beginning to the end (project life time). I was part of planning, executing, and timely delivery of the project to end uses.

Quality control- As I mentioned above, one of the project I was assigned was to reduce number of defect membrane, which is the part of RO (Reverse Osmosis) systemthat clean water and remove all impurities and control amount of PH in the water. The task was to reduce number of scraps from 20 out of 100 to 3 or 2, which is about 2% of produced goods. We were able to reach that number by focusing on materials design and that meant we had to involve R&D department.

5’s- I was part of team assigned to reduce amount of scrap inventory in the facility. 5’s which stands for sort, set in order, standardize, shine, and sustained. I was part of the team selected due to my back ground from my MBA program.

Six Sigma- As mentioned above I was part of the team to reduce amount of defect on production line. In this we used Six Sigma approach, which to me was good assignment as I was able to apply my learning from MBA and other team member whowere Six Sigma certified. By using this approach, which focused in lean approach, we were able to achieve our goal.

My duties were:

Installed, maintained and recommended appropriate field solutions for electronic products. Trained end-users on electronic controllers. Installed, repaired and troubleshot numerical controls. Tested and maintained computer-related industrial electronic control systems and electrical components. I was assigned to electronic team whose duties was to wire control panels that includes PLC and control switches. Once this was done we had to install control panel to the mechanical part of RO system which include pump, housing and other mechanical components. Also we had to wire motors and the rest of electronics components, which include switches and interface monitors that control RO system.

Work closely with engineering department to address all the issues related to product manufacturing and all assembly procedurals. I worked with assembly team to address all issues related to assembly line. Example, if there is miss part on electrical or mechanical part of assembly, I had to report this to the engineers who design the system and make sure the problem is fixes and correcting all finding in wiring or mechanical blue print. This also had to involve parts order which uses SAP system.

Trained end-users on electronic controllers- in some instance you had a customer who came to the plant and had to be trained on how to use the system. Train 24V and 120/240V electrical repair people on repair equipment safely and to analyzed test results by locate and determine causes of malfunction.

Also I was part of the team assigned to improve maintenance schedules and make sure all part needed arrives on time. Prepare schedule for maintenance and work closely with technicians to improve safety of equipment they use.
