Mervyn's Department Store-Redding, CA

February 2004 to September 2007

I was one of the employees in charge of opening the department store, starting with the main office. Distributing monies to cash drawers in each department, which was about 12 departments. Also securing that each department had sufficient amounts of applications for Store Credit Cards Applications, The Mervyn's Credit Card. And also check that each drawer and cash wrap had everything needed to make a happy customer. Trained new hires on the POS system, and made sure they were ready for the sales floor. Worked in the Jewelry Department of the store, which not everyone was capable or allowed to work in the Jewelry Department.

I worked the inventory back room when receiving Store Merchandise, and then began pushing it to the floor, to each Department.

Worked the dressing rooms, to relieve others for breaks, so we stayed on top of Store shrinkage. Trained new employees that came to the Jewelry Department to assure maximum sales potential. Also, kept a close tab on new employees approaching customers to open a Mervyn's Credit Card Account. And also stayed on top of keeping the glass clean and the jewelry neatly placed.
