Summary:

Worked as Librarian (Acquisitions) with the Library of Congress overseas New Delhi, India, office from October 23, 1989, to May 17, 2019. Responsible to build and maintain a research collection of commercial and non-commercial publications from South Asia, not only for the Library of Congress, but also for 50 American university libraries participating in its South Asia Cooperative Acquisitions Program

(SACAP). Managed all aspects of library work, including acquisitions, selection, IBC creation, circulars for new titles, attending e-mail queries, work with country representatives, monitor appointed vendors, coordinate recording project, storage, binding and shipping to the Library of Congress and its divisions and departments-Federal Research Division (FRD), Congressional Research Service (CRS), and Law Library of Congress and 50 American universities. Chief guest: Dr. Allen Thrasher, Senior Reference Librarian, the Library of Congress, Washington, DC. Invited top writers, authors, poets, academicians and publishers.
