Responsible for all plant functions. Negotiated strategic outsourcing for key components to better facilitate internal assemblies. Set up dedicated production lines to efficiently manage large production requirements in a timely manner. Set up Kanban systems to better manage on hand inventory and reduce inventory carrying costs. Authored and implemented plant safety plan. Implemented safety audits and 5S audit programs. Responsible for running the Paint Cell which was a “service center” for the entire plant. Developed and implemented plans to maintain adequate stock of on-hand materials. Significantly reduced “spoilage” on all shelf life/date sensitive constrained items. Increased usage of teams to meet on-time delivery schedules. Utilized an inventory management system to increase through put and turn around times.

Responsible for purchasing all steel, tools and other supplies to support the timely manufacture of projects and meet customer requirements. Also planned and scheduled jobs/projects in the shop based on arrival of materials and customer due dates. Devised alternate plans in the event of material delays, scrap or other shortfalls.
