E-commerce company going through hyper-growth during pandemic in need of a lead analyst to implement FP&A function during a series of transitions and remediation efforts, in preparation for company acquisition by aggregator Perch HQ.
Developed all financial models, reports and KPIs, implementing an entire FP&A function from scratch.
Built queries to automate new models where possible into Power Query and Power BI.
Compiled Deep Dives, working closely with marketing team on specific storefronts and brands in order to drill down to a more granular level on brand performance, as well as SKU performance, including tracking product launch margin metrics.

French global facilities management company breaking into North America, via the purchase of 6 US companies, which they would consequently integrate, merge, and expand market share across the United States
Assisted accounting department with monthly-close, including validation of P&Ls, and EBITDA for entities outside of the GL system (pre-integration efforts, as major restructuring left an untrained accounting staff, with large amounts of data for 3 separate entities that were not yet in the accounting system.
Maintained monthly reporting and MBR packages; reporting performance of various acquired companies (broken down as “regions” at ATALIAN USA). Deck would show profitability metrics, as well as monthly budget to actual variance analysis.
Built new financial models and creating new KPIs to bring color to this heavily margin driven business through data mining and manipulation. Assisting in creation of new methodology for visibility into the batch of data that has not yet been integrated.
Took over monthly commissions process, reducing completion time by 66%. Complaints of short or missed commission payments previously taking a significant time to respond to, dropped to 0 upon transition of responsibility.
Created a real-time refreshable P&L report via Power Query, reducing refresh time from days to minutes, assisting a weak accounting team as the go-to expert for the Comptroller to validate financial changes (w/o waiting for trial balance updates).
Aquafarm Organics, LLC – Sr. Modeling Analyst Remote 5/2016 – 9/2019
Organic hydroponic agriculture start-up in Florida needed a comprehensive and dynamic scenario driven model built, from bottom up. The number of scenarios to and build out would require a full-time analyst to assist. The role was mostly remote.
Created a dynamic revenue projection model based on several possible scenarios, dependent on 1) commodity index pricing yields on certain vegetables, 2) several business strategies on how the company would be run, and 3) the scalability of these various business models. Created all models with sensitivity and scenario adjustment capabilities.
Established a 13-Week Cash Forecast model which flowed dynamically with the projection model, and scenarios, to give instant visibility into the potential outcome of operational and financial decisions.
Implemented process for efficient updating of models once they were functioning, along with concise instructions on best use of model, and spotlight points to review in model after each update.
Created method to track sale and distribution of products, including the cost of sale by each item and customer.

Parella Weinberg asset hired interim CFO to create a finance/FP&A function in this South Florida gym chain. PWP would view this role as feet on the ground in SoFla with regular weekly reports back to NY.
Created a comprehensive 13-Week Cash Forecast, updated weekly and reported to PWP, via weekly touchpoint calls.
Implemented a regular tracking of KPIs to be reported monthly to senior management through concise summaries for review: gross margins, expenses as a percent of revenue, net change in membership gains/losses, LTM and rolling 3 month leading indicators.
Spearheaded new effort with the IT function to automate generation of these KPIs onto special intranet interface for review by GMs out in the field. This would not only show key performance metrics and KPIs, but also variance to company averages as well as specific branch goals dealing with core business, as well as POS system metrics by SKU for the retail arm.
