Capstone Stimulator – Project Management
• Led a virtual company through an 8-round business simulation that involved strategic decision-making across R&D, operations, marketing, and finance. Hypo Sludge in Concrete – Experimental Study
• The study investigated Hypo sludge as a partial replacement for Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in concrete. Hypo sludge was tested in 0%, 7%, and 14% ratios, with water-cement ratios (0.3, 0.5, 0.7), and curing periods of 10, 20, and 30 days. The effect on strength and durability was assessed using flexural, compressive, tensile strength, slump, and Rapid Chloride Ion Penetration tests.
• Adding fine Hypo sludge particles improved flexural, compressive, and tensile strength, and reduced chloride ion penetration. At 7% and 14% Hypo sludge replacement, compressive strength improved by 10-15% compared to control concrete. Higher water- cement ratios decreased strength and increased porosity. The lowest chloride ion penetration was with 7% Hypo sludge and a 0.3 water-cement ratio.
Case Study on Flat Slabs Construction
• Conducted a detailed case study on the design, behavior, and application of flat slab systems in multistory residential buildings. Compared flat slabs with conventional beam-slab systems in terms of load distribution, cost-effectiveness, construction time, and architectural flexibility. I analyzed structural performance under different loading conditions using STAAD Pro and studied punching shear behavior around column connections. The project emphasized the practical advantages of flat slabs in modern high- rise construction, including improved space utilization and faster execution. Design and Analysis of Residential Building (G+3)
• Worked on the structural design and analysis of a G+3 residential building using STAAD Pro and AutoCAD. Calculated loads as per IS codes and designed structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, and footings.
