With over 20 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and customer service, along with my current studies in Operations Management with a focus on Logistics and Transportation at Southern New Hampshire University, I bring both practical experience and academic knowledge to the table.
Over the years, I have worked with various transportation and logistics systems to keep operations running smoothly. I have used tools such as World Port, BluJay, Accuterm, Global Transportation Network, Air Force Tracker, One Network, Marsh, and the Distribution Standard System (DSS) used by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). These systems have boosted my efficiency, improved my workflow, and simplified tasks such as managing and coordinating shipments with customers and carriers, building loads, providing rate quotes, generating Bills of Lading (BOLs), scheduling pickups, tracking, billing (including TONU – Truck Ordered Not Used), detention, accessorial charges, invoices, disputes, approvals, and inventory management.
These tools have been instrumental as I strive for better results when shipping both domestic and international goods, including hazardous materials, refrigerated items, secure shipments, and expedited services, using various methods such as sea, truck, air, express services, small parcels, and full or less-than-full truckloads (FTL & LTL).
