Duties:
Strategic Alignment of Programs, Strategies, and Resources
As a Director I was assigned to identify priority areas, develop mutually reinforcing strategies for reaching and impacting key communities by connecting and aligning strategically with all available programs, assets, people, and resources using Equity Principles and Guidelines.
Direct the creation and implementation of county-wide assessments and action plans as required by the state and local partnerships
Represent United Way and ELM in national cohorts with an early childhood policy focus.
Helped to lead involvement and represent ELM in advocacy coalitions at national, state and local levels
Help guide ELM’s Coordinated Enrollment team with the Senior Manager for Early Care and Education
Help to guide ELM’s parent leadership work with the ELM Senior Manager
Help to guide staff Leadership and Development, select, guide, motivate, and participate in the training, professional development, and evaluation of direct reports
Provide goal setting, visioning, leadership, equity-centered, and strategic direction for ELM Team members
Ensure that ELM Team members are invested in team activities and decisions and that the team works together to achieve organizational goals
Responsible for accurate and timely completion and/or approval of organizational documents, including but not limited to performance reviews, professional development plans, goals and objectives, timecards, expense and travel reimbursements, credit card reports, requisitions, and ongoing documentation of performance accomplishments and areas requiring improvement
Data-Driven Shared Accountability, establish an environment of mutual trust and accountability for results by assuring that reliable data is available and used by United Way and partners throughout our work
Ensure Early Learning Multnomah meets all contract specifications and performance standards set by the state
Oversee contract administration and financial management for the ELM Team internal Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Community Impact and Resource Development (including Marketing) with
Teams to communicate the impact of UWCW Racial Equity initiatives to corporate and individual donors as well as the broader community

Principal Executive B Human Services Manager/Program Analyst Community Resource Coordinator
Managerial Duties - Daily operational functions of running several DHS offices for District 2 in Multnomah County. Understanding social programs to provide for families applying for state assistance, such as TANF {Temporary Assistance to Needy Families), Food stamps, Medical, ERDC, JOBS program, and some Child Welfare. Coordinated and collaborating with partner programs to help families in need of basic needs, health care programs, SUN system, employment programs, and ensuring programs were meeting the needs of the populations we are serving. Supervising multiple units of staff, 6 to 30 people in multiple offices with various positions such as eligibility workers, case workers, and lead workers. Provided leadership and direction to staff to develop short term and long-term goals in employment; Meet with staff to develop and do performance plans and measures. Meet with staff to discuss work performance, employment development plans, motivate staff to ensure staff see their maximum potential in the work. Developed position descriptions to hire new staff in positions, performed hiring manger functions for the organization, created diverse panels, oriented new staff in on boarding to the organization. Experience of providing coaching and training to staff for developmental towards work and DEI within the organization. Experience in facilitation of large groups and team building to help staff and organizations achieve outcomes in projects and design of concepts to objectives.
Administrative Duties – Customer Service Oriented, processing applications according to the organization, analyzing information such as reports, data that gives outcomes to how systems are working within organizations. Explained state and federal policies and programs to applicants applying for programs such as TANF, Food stamps, Medical, ERDC, ADA and Child Welfare. Handing sensitive information within customer complaints. Monitoring caseload data such as in fluctuation and decrease. Monitoring and approving branch expenditures towards support payments. Recognizing the value of individuals and families with cultural differences and creating valued work experience for staff and customers. Monitoring office budget, inventoried office negotiables such as vouchers and bus tickets/passes, and gift cards.
