I have over twenty years of experience and training in the clerical field, including bookkeeping, computers, and all related office duties. Additionally, I am continuing my education to become certified to teach. I feel I would be a strong candidate for this position because of my experience as well as my background in related duties. EDUCATION:
1970-1974 Participated in several school and church activities and organizations including; Pep Club, Rainbow Girls, Choir, Voice Class, Brownies, GA’s, softball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, touch football, track, swimming, pool, golf, and bowling.
1973-1974 Participated in an on-the-job training program; C.O.E., during Junior and Senior high school years.

1982 Graduated from Nichols Career Center with American Dental Association Certification in Four-Handed, Expanded Function Dental Assisting that included one semester of on-the-job training, in which I rotated through specialty practices in Jefferson City, Missouri.
1982-1983 Took one year of specialized training in Dental Prosthetics and Dental Lab Procedures at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama.
1984 Studied one year at Liberty Bible College in Pensacola, Florida as well as taking several satellite and correspondence courses with emphasis in Christian Counseling and Missions.
1986 Completed special studies in personal computer application and Insurance at Jefferson State Junior College in Birmingham, Alabama.
1985-1996 Completed at least two educational and/or training experiences per year as required by various employers.
2003-2005 Completed coursework at Columbia College, Lake Campus and obtained an Associate Degree in General Studies.
Currently Attending Columbia College, Lake Campus to earn certification as well as a double Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology.

One of my greatest accomplishments while there was to inventory and automate the entire parts department, which consisted of thousands of tiny electrical parts. From this financial report, it was my responsibility to generate statements for the billing department, which generated approximately forty percent of Alagasco’s revenue. I am currently working part-time there while attending college.

INTERESTS: I am a state-trained Volunteer in Corrections (VIC) for the Missouri Department of Corrections and taught twelve-week courses at Renz and Tipton facilities for women from 1983 to 1990. My interests and hobbies are primarily in family, church, school, and activities related to my two sons. I am an avid scrap-booker. Since my divorce in 2001, I have maintained a goal of attending college nights and working full time to support my family and acquire the necessary education and certification so that I can enter the workforce locally on, at least, a semi-professional level. I want to be able to provide a college education for my sons and on my present salary, I am unable to do that.
