● Monitor the calendar so that no loads are missed and that all early morning preloads are complete before the end of the shift. Correct any part-allocated loads and make cancellations when required. Make sure each department is on track and move employees around as needed to try and level out each department’s volume.

● Perform employee observations to make sure they are following SOP and address any unsafe practices on the floor. Share tips with new employees on how to pick and load more efficiently.

● Identified trends to determine business challenges and opportunities for improvement to execute strategic and tactical recommendations.

● Build LTL loads to make it easier for employees to pick and process. Send out swap emails to LTL carriers letting them know how many of their trailers are ready to pick up.

● Chase carriers so that their drivers get here on time so that we can get their load off the floor to make room for another one. Email preload carriers to bring more equipment if there’s not enough on the yard.
