Additional Information
Just a little information about me; I come from a hard working law enforcement family. My grandfather Frank Conner was sheriff of Pulaski County, My father Michael and brother Christopher also chose law- enforcement as a career and work at Pulaski County sheriffs office. My family is the main reason I chose to pursue degree in Criminal Justice from Radford University. To be more specific, juvenile probation. I did an internship in 2015 for 3 months; working/volunteering 40 hours a week along side a juvenile probation officer in Giles County. I feel like there are children from this area who are dealt a bad hand in life, but with the right guidance and resources it’s not too late for them to turn their lives back around! Working with children who are involved with Pulaski County Recreation seasonally for the last 20 years has made me feel that working with the youth is just my “calling” in life.
Since I was 17 years old I have been an official (also known as a referee) for co-ed basketball & soccer ages 5-8 years old. This person enforces the rules and maintains order in the games/tournaments. The opportunity to do every job possible for the rec department these last 20 years also was another factor in me wanting to get my degree in juvenile probation. I was raised in a single-parent household by my father. Three main values that my my father instilled in my brother and myself are: 1. SHOW UP & BE ACCOUNTABLE EVERYDAY
2. WORK HARD, give your BEST EVERYDAY
3. Your WORD is your BOND; and it’s ALL YOU HAVE IN THIS WORLD; mean what you say and always, always stand behind it!
You can count on me that I will always do the absolute best that I can day in and day out for the company I work for and the people that I work with! I have a beautiful home in Pulaski with my two children Kaydence 17, and Kashden 13. My son is on the Autism spectrum and I am challenged by his disability daily, raising my son is a job within itself. There’s nothing I love more in my life than being a mother to my kids! Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy day to skim over my resume and see if I could and or would be a good selection for employment with your company. If you decide to take a chance on me for a job, you have my word that I won’t let you down if given the opportunity! I will show up every day and give 110%; you can definitely can count on me! Thank you again, peace and blessings.
