MHC Kenworth – June 2000 to August 2005 – Office Specialist – Code ap documents, analyze gl accounts, enter weekly time in payroll system, prepare sales reports, calculate profit or loss on sales, calculate commission on truck sales, prepare and enter general journal entries, generate purchase orders, post repair orders, order operating supplies, research missing invoices, research discrepancies in receipts and billings, prepare and code expense reports, prepare end of month and end of year reports. In 2004 I started training for the position of office manager. My job included office manager duties for our store in Tupelo and office specialist duties for our store in Memphis. August 2005 – June 2009, I was promoted to the office manager position in Texarkana, TX. My duties included balance deposit account, compute and enter accruals for payroll and commissions, balance cash sales daily, collect bad debt, verify states sales tax, customer invoicing, FET reporting, maintain truck inventories, retail sales report and flooring special billings and all the jobs for office specialist. All office managers were either given other jobs or let go due to the company being reorganized.
Mosaic – July 2010 to December 2010 – My duties included facilitating check requests for client accounts, prepare checks for client spend-downs, forward bank statements to conservators, balance client checking and savings accounts, fax a/p invoices to corporate accounting, maintain client checking account spreadsheets, maintain folders for client accounts and maintain client financial binders.
January 2011 through October 2016 – I was able to obtain several parttime temporary jobs. They included receptionist at Belz Enterprises. This job lasted 3 months and it was as need to fill in for their receptionist. I worked as a dispatcher for Whistler’s Express, dispatching loads to truckers. This job lasted for 4 months.
October 2016 I went to work for May Medical Group as the bookkeeper. I entered invoices in Quickbooks, printed checks, printing bank statements, reconciling bank statements, entering deposits and fund transfers, printing daily ach report from the bank, research and reconcile vendor statements and entered general ledger entries for ach drafts and payroll. Provided Quickbook reports to accountant for taxes. During this time, I worked a part time temp job in Memphis, I entered invoices and printed and mailed checks to pay bills, I balanced the checking account and the PayPal account. I worked this job for over 1 year, but I was only working 1 day a week and it was too far to drive.
September 2018 May Medical Group was purchased by Tenet Healthcare and my job became Medical Secretary. I barcode documents for scanning and request referral updates or records from other physician’s offices to close referrals. I entered invoices and packing lists into Expense Watch for payment and researched open invoices to determine if the supplies had been received or not. Also, I prepared check requests. On February 28, 2024, I was terminated due to lack of work.
