Project : Land Lord Rebuild

Description:

Landlord Rebuild (LMR) is a complete redesign of the Safeco Fire application in Liberty Mutual (LM). LMR is one of the major step towards LM’s Legacy Modernization. This program includes introducing new rating structure using Ratabase and adding number of rental units for ratting. The ultimate goal of LMR is to deploy a complex IT build targeted at reduced mainframe dependencies where possible by adopting the Ratabase pricing API. LMR required a in depth contextual knowledge since it’s a restructure of the complete architecture. The program involved multiple teams for front-end UI, Mainframe, MQ Orchestration, Pricing interface and Ratabase API.

Responsibilities:

Understand the overall architecture of Safeco HOM application and generate ideas to move the inhouse rating engine to the external Ratabase API.

Liberty Mutual modernising the Safeco AUTO legacy applications, as part of AUTQUOTE Modernization Mainframe Dev responsibility is analysing the existing legacy applications, and provide the feed to RateCore API Dev team, the new RateCore Ratting Engine calculates the AUTO policy premium and compare the mainframe generated premium. If premium matches will consider Ratecore factors if it deviates Mainframe Dev has to analyse the mainframe logics. Liberty Mutual has number of machine and business critical applications on disparate platforms like Client server and Mainframe (C#, JavaScript, .Net, SQL Server 2005, COBOL, IMS, DB2 and Azure) environments. The scope of the project includes analysis, design, development, testing, and support activities, which will be executed in onsite. Handling multiple projects with in LM personal lines.
