• Gave patient urine test cup and antiseptic wipe to use, so that physician could tell if patient has UTI

• Helped physician perform in house URO-dynamic test by prepping patient and explaining the process throughout the procedure. -Also, helped with Botox injections of bladder by: calling patient back, going over procedure, and obtaining a prior authorization for botox injections of the bladder. -3 days prior to appointment Macrobid would be E-scribed for the patient.

• On the day of appointment, patient would have a catheter placed into the bladder with lidocaine, removal of catheter and letting patient sit for 10-15 minutes. While the Dr mixed the Botox, patient was moved to the procedure room, where iodine and lidocaine was placed inside urethra. The scope was then prepared and handed to the Dr so procedure could be performed.

• Urine cytologies and culture were collected and results would be sent,

• Document the physician dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical history as well as document procedures, lab results, dictated radiographic impressions made by the supervising physician and any other information pertaining to the patient's encounter

• If abx protocol was needed abx protocol drug was sent to pharmacy.Between patients phone messages were returned and offered an appointment or solution

• . Performed venipuncture on patients using straight 20 gauge and 21 gauge needles, if patient was a hard stick a butterfly 23 gauge needle would be used.

• The blood samples would then be dated, DOB, & time, then the specimen would be inverted 8-12 time immediately after collection if additive needed to be evenly distributed.

• Specimen would then sit for 30 mins & then centrifuged for 15 mins then taken out and double checked the tubes date, DOB, & time.

• Patients ranged from infant, adolescents, and geriatrics. Specimens would be sent to reference labs afterwards. Capillary finger sticks would also be performed to check hemoglobin & hematocrit. Collected around 12/14 blood draws per day.
