OBJECTIVE:
I have a love for helping people, regardless of any title I have. In my current role as a crisis counselor, I have had the opportunity to assist individuals with coping and support during a crisis. Although crisis counseling is brief and time-limited work it is very rewarding to provide a safe outlet for immediate relief. While working with the IDD population I learned so much about mental disorders and those who suffer from them. My time as a teacher assistant gave me the opportunity to work with children and help them learn and develop crucial skills as I learned from them, as well as the teachers. Being an office manager gave me the opportunity to learn to work autonomously and how to successfully handle one-on-one interactions independently. Finally, working as a student financial aid technician, gave me the opportunity to educate my peers about something of high importance, as we made our journey through college.
