OVERVIEW
I am a Civil Engineer from The University of Zambia with more than 15 years of experience in supervision and design works. Over the years, I have accumulated vast local experience in a variety of infrastructures such as Earthworks, Building Construction, Paved Roads, Road Drainage/Culvert, Gravel/Access Roads and Dams. I have particular experience in design, construction supervision and rehabilitation work gained through numerous projects in the capacity of design/supervising and team leader. Among my recent projects, I was engaged by United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) under the Kenya Multi-Country Office – Technical Services Unit as Civil Engineer- Retainer for the 10 Dams Design and Remediation Program – Zambia 2020 funded by the World Bank. Further, as a Civil Engineer (Structural Design) at Rankin Engineering Consultants, Lusaka, I was involved in a number of design projects and feasibility studies. In addition, I served on a number of construction projects whilst at Mopani Copper Mines as a Sectional Engineer- Civil Construction and Design at Nkana Mine site, Kitwe. My responsibilities included preparation of detailed specifications, contract document preparation, Planning, costing and supervisory work during civil works constructional, maintenance work involved in contracted or divisional engineering projects. In my capacity as sectional engineer at Mopani, I had overseen the construction of Managerial Houses, TD52 Plant, Change Houses within the mine plant and other general building works. Currently working as Director Projects for Oluka Limited, I have successfully overseen a number of construction projects and building works that the company has undertaken. My expertise includes the use of AutoCAD, Structural design/analysis programs such as Prokon and Masterseries and preparation of structural drawings and specifications & Bill of Quantities (BOQs). Job Purpose:
To assist in formulating procedures for the control of contractors engaged on capital engineering projects (Capex) and working cost projects (WCM), control materials, supplies and supervise civil works projects undertaken by the department to ensure satisfactory completion of projects.
