Human Resources Manager – Buenos Aires, Argentina

Provided strategic and operational direction to build up, from scratch, the Customer Service Operation of the Business Process Outsourcing partnership for Verizon Business headquarters for Latin America region. The project started with the transfer of 300 employees from Verizon to the new company. Reported to the HR Director.

Successfully implemented the acquisition and integration of new HR Processes, and the transfer of the new company culture.

Managed, documented and updated HR policies and procedures.

Led the relocation of the services provided by 300+ FTE to Manila, Philippines in 2009 as result of a change in the strategy, which included:

oOrganized a team of qualified professionals in Argentina and transferred them to Manila to train the new team on site.

oImplementation of a Retention plan during the transition, Closure of the company. Completed the relocation process to the Philippines in February 2010 with no adverse results, nor claims filed.

VERIZON BUSINESS (FORMER MCI) – Buenos Aires, Argentina 2004 – 2006

HR Business Partner for Customer Service & Operations

Provided HR and administrative support to the Service Delivery and Operations Director, monitored projects transferred to Argentina and previously done in the USA.

Recruited, selected, hired, and trained 368 employees in 6 weeks to manage the day-to-day processes for the recently acquired projects.

Assumed HR support responsibilities for the entire operation in Argentina, including local and regional Sales, Finance, Legal, IT / Technical and Engineering staff.

Participated in Verizon’s acquisition of MCI that culminated in outsourcing the Service Delivery Activities performed in Buenos Aires - to a BPO Indian Company. Successfully completed the transfer of 300 employees to the BPO Company, with only one person rejecting the transfer and filing a claim.

Concurrently served as a Member of the Ethics Department for the region.

Opened the Verizon’s office in Brazil, hired and trained the HR Business Partner for the site.

Recruited technical and engineering staff. Coordinated and aligned global HR policies and processes.
