November 1987 – Present: Shalom Baptist Church (Mechanicsville, VA). Part Time employment as Church Accompanist where I work with the Minister of Music to prepare for weekly service. December 2014 – November 2024: INDEVCO North America (Doswell, VA)
Started as grounds and property maintenance and progressed quickly into inventory control, and customer order fulfillment. These duties included getting customer orders, fulfilling these orders, packing for shipment and adjusting the computerized inventory in AX. In addition, I performed daily cycle counts to help ensure the $15M perpetual inventory was accurate. I was also part of the end of month physical inventory team. I am trained in the use of Barcoding equipment to perform this function, including live editing authority to adjust cycle counts as needed. February 2000 – February 2014: International Mission Board, SBC (Richmond, VA). I served as Warehouse/Inventory Clerk. This job consisted of tracking and entering information into the computer for all incoming and outgoing freight. I also generated written reports of incoming or returned items. In addition, I logged in packages from small parcel carriers and forwarded these to office staff members and assisted the mailroom personnel whenever they needed help. August 1992 – February 2000: Family Dollar, (Richmond, VA). As a Receiving/Stock Clerk, I received incoming truck shipments, stocked shelves, kept the aisles clear and clean to keep the store in presentable condition, and reported damaged merchandise. March 1989 – January 1992: Thalhimers (Highland Springs, VA). I worked in the receiving department processing incoming freight, moving materials to the proper locations and placing inventory control tags on selected merchandise. I also served as a Shoe Stock Clerk, tagging shoe boxes, stocking shelves and reporting damaged merchandise.
June 1983-Feb 1989: I was pursuing a career in music, working with entertainment companies such as Kings Dominion and Carowinds.
Education: Associate of Arts Degree, York College of Pennsylvania (York, PA) Graduated May 1983 with major in Music and Minor in Radio.
Skills: Excellent mathematical ability, very accurate record keeping and organized. Extremely dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
