• Established Fujifilm’s first software quality and test engineering group in the U.S. for testing photo websites, digital retail lab systems, digital pro lab systems, kiosk, and desktop applications.
• Developed software quality and test engineering standards, processes, and procedures. Collaborated with marketing and development teams to align requirements with test cases and acceptance criteria for field trials and production deployment.
• Formed a round-the-clock team to manage remote software updates for over 4500 Walmart and Sam’s Club photo centers, facilitating 1-hour fulfillment nationwide through their photo websites. April 1994 – September 2001 EASTMAN KODAK CO., Rochester, NY Localization Project Manager/ Senior Software Quality Lead Engineer – Digital & Applied Imaging (4/1994 – 9/2001)
• Qualified and managed localization test vendors for all digital camera software projects.
• Worked with legal and finance to negotiate agreements, statements of work and costs. The project involved managing the vendors and internal QA teams to ensure deliverables were met according to the SOWs.
• Lead Software Quality Engineer for several consumer digital camera projects including the Kodak DC50, DC200/210 DC240/280, DC260/290, DC5000, and DC3400 consumer Digital Cameras. QA Team members resided in multiple locations Tokyo, Japan, Boston, MA, Rochester, NY, and Boulder, Colorado.
• Developed a solution to test all supported languages for our digital camera software simultaneously by outsourcing localization testing. As a result, we were able to release the consumer digital cameras & software to all the global markets simultaneously to maximum revenue where previous releases would launch in English/Japanese markets first and the FIGS languages 2-4 months later.
• Responsible for the SQA of the KODAK Digital Library Management System and the Professional Image Library.
