At Grand Mesa Medical Supply, I successfully carried out multiple positions such as: Billing, Complex Rehab Assistant and Customer Service. As a Billing Manager at USA Mobility, I used my advanced payer knowledge, medical terminology and coding skills to collect large volumes of aging revenue. My responsibilities were to manage all activities for: revenue quality control, billing and collections. When I became a certified Corporate Revenue Support Training Specialist my requirements were to have expert knowledge of corporate policies and procedures to implement numerous training productions which include customer service, billing, accounts receivable and logistics.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
June 2016 to September 2024: Billing Representative, Rehab Assistant and most recent position of Customer Service for Grand Mesa Medical Supply. A privately owned prestigious company who provided durable medical equipment, complex rehab equipment and specialized in ostomy, urinary, incontinent supplies and nutrition. This required advanced customer service skills, which included resolving and diffusing dissatisfaction in some instances with satisfying results. Orders for clients were received from walk-ins, telephone orders and incoming faxes (on-Line via E-drive) and scheduling for delivery and pickups.
July 2015-April 2016: Billing Representative for Physician’s Choice Medical: A provider who supplied home medical equipment and supplies which included enteral nutrition. My primary responsibility was to work denial reports, obtaining required documentation and reporting in their billing department.
November 2010-July 2016: Billing Manager for USA Mobility Inc: A privately owned medical equipment company specializing in Complex Rehab Technology. I was required to manage revenue qualification & confirmation of deliveries, billing all revenue to payers which included Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial accounts. I also posted collections and worked denials to obtain a positive outcome.
1994 to 2009: Customer Service, Supervision and Corporate Training Manager Apria Healthcare: A corporation specializing in home medical equipment, respiratory equipment and medical supplies. The skills required to obtain this position were:
Proficient knowledge in customer service, revenue management and logistics for a contact center and their multiple branches
Managed, completed all activity and trained in accounts receivable. This included: Billing, Collections, Posting and Reporting.
