The CSAM platform is based upon the Architect ASAP product, Oracle and Oracle Application(web) server. It operates on Solaris 2.6(UNIX) operating system. The user application provided by CSAM are Network Traffic Management and Network Data Management. The Key components that support these applications are Work Order Translator (WOT), the Work Order Response Handler (WORH) and File Transfer Daemon. The impact of any problems relating to the CSAM may result in loss of access to the Next Generation Switches (for CSAM-D and ANDES), Local switches (for ANDES) as well as 21CN elements (i.e., MASN, MGW, BGW, CS) and an inability to correct problems on the exchanges like configuration, association etc. This could have a direct effect on large numbers of BT customer's rendering them unable to make phone calls, leading to revenue loss and possible compensation claims against BT.
