Neurology and

Neurosurgery: Three years staff nursing experience in ICU neurosurgery

3 years step-down unit and neurology. Patient mix included head trauma injury, brain tumor, CVA/TIA, spinal cord injuries, MS, seizure disorders, and thalamic stimulator placement for Parkinson's disease.

Long-Term Care:

7+ years Six years experience in the Long-Term Care setting as LTC Administrator and Nurse Consultant. DHSS surveyor with State of Missouri which included Complaint Investigations and Federal Medicare and Medicaid LTC Surveys.

Mental Health:

10+ years Duties included both charge nurse and staff nursing on acute, long-term, and geriatric psychiatry, mental health units for adults and children, as well as House Supervisor for two free-standing hospitals. Also employed at one of the most successful PTSD programs for active military. Duties included both psychiatric and medical-surgical assessments of patients with management of cardiac, obstetric, trauma, neurology, abdominal symptoms and other emergencies requiring immediate nursing interventions and further assessments.

Administrative Nursing Experience

EMPLOYMENT: Both House Supervisor positions concurrent with Health Care Regulation employment.

Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital

Duties included hospital administrative coverage with management of staffing, crisis management of patients, EMTALA

compliance. of all inpatient, adult adolescent and children's units, a duel diagnosis unit, Masters and Johnson Trauma Based Disorders unit, and intake unit.

Trinity North/Baptist Duties included hospital administrative

Hospitals coverage with management of staffing, EMTALA oversight, with admission assessments, and all inpatient, adult, adolescent, and children’s units.

Kingswood Skilled Nursing Served as Interim Director of Nursing

Facility through Midwest Healthcare Consultants for Nursing operations and assisted in hiring permanent D.O.N.

State of Kansas and Missouri Quality assurance review and conducting state and Federal surveys for Long Term Health care facilities and

Dept. of Health and Senior Services and complaint investigations.
