Duties and responsibilities
• Giving SHEQ advice to management to ensure compliance with SHEQ legal and other requirements and Masimba SHEQ Management systems aligned to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
• Coordinating the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of SHEQ documentation, procedures and in close liaison with managers and supervisors.
• Carrying out hazard identification, developing and implementing effective control measures to eliminate and minimize injuries, property, and environmental damages.
• Reporting all incidents in your work area as per procedure, ensuring their thorough investigation to avoid recurrence and following up on closure/effectiveness of action plans.
• Effective Implementation, control, and enforcement of compliance to SHEQ regulations, standards, Client requirements and other requirements
• Monitoring compliance with SHEQ Systems, standards, and operational procedures by conducting inspections and audits.
• Ensuring compliance of plant, machinery, equipment, tools and materials to safe standards and requirements.
• Ensuring employees in your work area have requisite SHEQ legal appointments and ensuring they clearly understand their SHEQ roles and responsibilities.
• Conducting SHEQ awareness and formal training to management and all employees, including conducting SHEQ Inductions to all employees, contractors, and visitors in your section.
• Compiling SHEQ Statistics and reports and analyzing SHEQ performance indicators.
