The project required a technical business analyst role in the capital markets where the base metals and precious metals are traded in Murex and also, FX cash and money markets trades in Wallstreet Systems. Required to interact with the end users, back-office users and also with the downstream and upstream system users. Needed to fix the issues by interacting with the development team when required, fix the issues related to reports, perform the WSS COA support, Murex EoD support, user requests handling, and managing change controls on a daily basis. The project demanded extensive knowledge on the WSS core and the interfaces joining. A sound knowledge on Datamart administration, FX trade flows, Actuate reports, MxML and Market Data was essential. Most of the jobs are in the Scheduler and a good understanding of Sysadmiral was essential from the project perspective.
The project involved the migration project of precious metal trade from in house product to Murex 3.1.32, the WSS FX and Money Market support running on 4.3 and 5.01 versions. The support involves the Close of Area monitoring, interaction with BAs for various issues, solving deal related issues, report generation, and all other environment related issues. Needed to communicate with vendors and teams involved in UNIX/Windows infrastructure, DBAs, Development, TAG Security, Change Control and Helpdesk to resolve issues through phone, conference, email and in-person.
