DLTECHCON Technical Consultant 03/2025 - To the Present Working as a private contractor, servicing accounts for desk top support, network refresh, server organization, and VOIP phone moves adds and changes.

GSD Technologies SR. ENGINEER – 1/2/2024 – 3/2025 Assisted with several network refreshes using Meraki routers and Unifi data switches. Migrated users, AD, DNS and file shares from Server 2012-R2 to Server 2022 for several clients. Deployed a few new Synology backup solutions.

Organized spares inventory allowing us quicker component replacement. Sold three clients refresh projects amounting in $16k in new MRR. Organized video based technical training for L1 and L2 Help-Desk usage. Assisted with interviewing, guiding and mentoring new hires. Supported 22 separate customers in a multi-tenant Bicom VOIP phone system. EXTENET SYSTEMS, LLC IT-DIRECTOR – 7/2007 -12/2023 Started on the ground floor as a contractor setting up the initial network, servers and ISP in a temporary office. Moved the company to a new 50K sq ft. office and built out a showroom quality server room, lab and network operation facility. Was hired fulltime and created a staff of .Net Developers, Network Management and Operation, and Desktop Support personnel. Implemented MAS 500 accounting then later MS Dynamics. Set up an offsite colocation data center for private cloud data backup and critical processing. Created a national network utilizing Cisco ASA’s and 2960 data switches. Utilized dual ISP connections from separate vendors. Migrated the desk phone environment from Nortel to Mitel (VOIP) to finally Ring Central. Setup up satellite offices in New York, New Jersey, Lisle-Illinois, Dallas, Las Vegas and San Ramon-California. Implemented a Jira Service Management IT ticketing system for IT requests. Created KPIs and other trend reports for management. FLEXTRONICS REGIONAL IT MANAGER – 1/2002 – 7/2007 Sole IT support for a 200 user company located in Elk Grove Village. Handled all aspects of the network, servers and workstations. LIGHTNING METAL SPECIALTIES IT PROJECT MANAGER – 5/1999 – 1/2002 Provided IT project management support.

ABN-AMRO BANK VP-INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – 03/1993 – 02/1999 Managed a team of 7 supporting the Bond trading floor -hardware, software, project management. Relocated the New York bond trading floor to Chicago. Supported Bloomberg workstations.

Supported an HP Unix workstation environment.

RODMAN & RENSHAW CAPITAL GROUP 1ST VP-INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - 3/1985 – 02/1993 Started the IT group for the company.

Installed point-to-point circuits and with “Time Division-Multiplexers” extended serial communications for real-time stock quotes from Chicago, New York, London and Amsterdam. Created custom built desktop P/C’s for these offices. (Ethernet didn’t exist). Implemented front and back office trading applications (Shark and Realtime) for the Chicago, New York, London and Amsterdam offices.

Rolled out p/c desktops to replace the Quotron workstations. Provided Rolm telephone support.

Assembled custom desktop P/C’s for the trading floor.. Installed Bloomberg OTC workstations.

Opened offices in New York, London and Amsterdam.
