Employment History

Sr Automation Engineer

Hartman+Hartman, Inc., Bridgeville, PA. September 2023 – October 2024

• Managed projects independently from start to finish, including panel design, parts ordering, PLC programming, HMI design, and on-site commissioning.

• Integrated FLIR cameras into the customer process line to detect high heat temperatures and prevent fires.

• Configured web view for each camera, allowing remote access for operators to pull reports, make set-point changes, and review alarms.

Control System Programmer III

CDMG, Canonsburg, PA. January 2023 – April 2023

• Independently worked on assigned projects.

• Ability to work with minimal aid or guidance.

• Projects primarily consisted of Allen-Bradley PLC’s, DeltaV, and Modbus.

• Created electrical network diagrams for my team in the field from only information provided to me on an excel spreadsheet and some dated electrical one-line diagrams. I created the network diagrams for the team as a visual aid to reflect what the plant should look like after all the site upgrades were completed and the new plc racks and panels were in place. I showed the Networking between each of the panels and plc’s, how they’re connected and communication along with all other pertinent information needed for the project. I then built out a spreadsheet identifying all the changes to the site as well, and all the corresponding equipment, plc’s, and HMI’s.

• Designed, converted old projects to new, and tested existing projects with Ignition. Sr. IT/OT Business Analyst / Project Technical Lead for the CI/OT Controls Integration Team Marathon Petroleum, Canonsburg, PA July 2020 – December 2022

• Received “Marathon MarAward” for my outstanding project technical lead on the OT Implementation Project completion.

• “Marathon MarAward” for my outstanding project work performed during a critical company pipeline shutdown which required me to work a 36-hour day to commission a TMS DL8000 skid at one of our largest plants, the Sherwood Gas Processing Plant. The site needed to have the ability to truck liquids off-site while the pipeline was down. The vendor had no service techs available during hours to assist and I am the only internal employee with the skill set and experience in commissioning these skids. I voluntarily went to site after hours and worked through the night to have the skid ready when needed the next morning.

• Received multiple shout-outs during our monthly company meetings for acknowledgement of my outstanding work achieved on multiple projects throughout the year. These are voluntarily given my colleagues during our meetings.

• Project Technical Lead for all projects related to DeltaV and acting SME for all Emerson related products and software.

• Study and analyze business problems and assist in deriving and evaluating alternative solutions.

• Apply proper methodologies to ensure prompt and cost-efficient solutions to business problems.

• Participate in testing systems or solutions (or change thereto) prior to placing it in effect to ensure that it follows all standards and that all functions are working correctly.

• Understand the controls and security requirements of a system; develop adequate controls/security for the system and know the mechanics of implementing the controls/security method chosen.

• Review, Update, and implement policies, standards, and procedures.

• Strong Window server administration and application troubleshooting skills.

• Solid understanding of Industrial Control Systems, OT/IT Networking, virtualization technology, network and firewall concepts and cybersecurity standards and trends.
