It also allows consumers in both FFM and State Based Marketplace (SBM) states to apply for Insurance Affordability Programs, such as Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Premium Tax Credits, either through state Medicaid and CHIP agencies or directly via the FFM. Effective coordination between the states and the FFM is essential to ensure a seamless and efficient eligibility process for consumers.
