Lead a team of 17 Customer Emergency Response Technicians to deliver timely and accurate reference services for military records requests from veterans, federal offices, and state and local agencies.
Oversee the processing of high-priority correspondence for urgent situations such as burials, medical emergencies, and requests from national media outlets. Provide expert-level guidance and training to technicians on military records, forms, and document research methodologies across all service branches. Manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive assignments while contributing to the development of improved procedures and analysis of inquiry trends to support operational efficiency. Achievements:
FY 2024: Earned Excellence in Government Award (St. Louis), Individual Archivist Achievement Award, Spot Award for assisting with complex emergency cases, and Go-To Expert Archives Technician Award.
FY 2023: Served as Supervisory Archives Technician (detail), led a training team, organized team meetings, and earned a Spot Award for stakeholder engagement. FY 2022: Received Spot Award for outstanding performance and dedication on the CERT team for helping stand up a new team.
FY 2021: Trained over 30 new technicians, started a new POD Program to assist with telework staffing, implemented new procedures to reduce backlog, nominated for two Archivist Achievement Awards.
FY 2020: Promoted during COVID-19, trained staff digitally, and led efforts that processed over 52,100 requests despite staffing constraints.
